마태복음 8:18-27 [개역개정]

18 예수께서 무리가 자기를 에워싸는 것을 보시고 건너편으로 가기를 명하시니라

19 한 서기관이 나아와 예수께 아뢰되 선생님이여 어디로 가시든지 저는 따르리이다

20 예수께서 이르시되 여우도 굴이 있고 공중의 새도 거처가 있으되 인자는 머리 둘 곳이 없다 하시더라

21 제자 중에 또 한 사람이 이르되 주여 내가 먼저 가서 내 아버지를 장사하게 허락하옵소서

22 예수께서 이르시되 죽은 자들이 그들의 죽은 자들을 장사하게 하고 너는 나를 따르라 하시니라

23 배에 오르시매 제자들이 따랐더니

24 바다에 큰 놀이 일어나 배가 물결에 덮이게 되었으되 예수께서는 주무시는지라

25 그 제자들이 나아와 깨우며 이르되 주여 구원하소서 우리가 죽겠나이다

26 예수께서 이르시되 어찌하여 무서워하느냐 믿음이 작은 자들아 하시고 곧 일어나사 바람과 바다를 꾸짖으시니 아주 잔잔하게 되거늘

27 그 사람들이 놀랍게 여겨 이르되 이이가 어떠한 사람이기에 바람과 바다도 순종하는가 하더라

18 When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake.

19 Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, ‘Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.’

20 Jesus replied, ‘Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.’

21 Another disciple said to him, ‘Lord, first let me go and bury my father.’

22 But Jesus told him, ‘Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.’

23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.

24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.

25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, ‘Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!’

26 He replied, ‘You of little faith, why are you so afraid?’ Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

27 The men were amazed and asked, ‘What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!’

18 Als aber Jesus die Menge um sich sah, befahl er, hinüber ans andre Ufer zu fahren.

19 Und es trat ein Schriftgelehrter herzu und sprach zu ihm: Meister, ich will dir folgen, wohin du gehst.

20 Jesus sagt zu ihm: Die Füchse haben Gruben und die Vögel unter dem Himmel haben Nester; aber der Menschensohn hat nichts, wo er sein Haupt hinlege.

21 Ein anderer aber, einer seiner Jünger, sprach zu ihm: Herr, erlaube mir, dass ich zuvor hingehe und meinen Vater begrabe.

22 Aber Jesus spricht zu ihm: Folge mir nach und lass die Toten ihre Toten begraben!

23 Und er stieg in das Boot und seine Jünger folgten ihm.

24 Und siehe, da geschah ein großes Beben im Meer, sodass das Boot von den Wellen bedeckt wurde. Er aber schlief.

25 Und sie traten zu ihm, weckten ihn auf und sprachen: Herr, hilf, wir verderben!

26 Da sagt er zu ihnen: Ihr Kleingläubigen, warum seid ihr so furchtsam?, und stand auf und bedrohte den Wind und das Meer; und es ward eine große Stille.

27 Die Menschen aber verwunderten sich und sprachen: Was ist das für ein Mann, dass ihm Wind und Meer gehorsam sind?
