마태복음 7:1-14 [개역개정]

1 비판을 받지 아니하려거든 비판하지 말라

2 너희가 비판하는 그 비판으로 너희가 비판을 받을 것이요 너희가 헤아리는 그 헤아림으로 너희가 헤아림을 받을 것이니라

3 어찌하여 형제의 눈 속에 있는 티는 보고 네 눈 속에 있는 들보는 깨닫지 못하느냐

4 보라 네 눈 속에 들보가 있는데 어찌하여 형제에게 말하기를 나로 네 눈 속에 있는 티를 빼게 하라 하겠느냐

5 외식하는 자여 먼저 네 눈 속에서 들보를 빼어라 그 후에야 밝히 보고 형제의 눈 속에서 티를 빼리라

6 거룩한 것을 개에게 주지 말며 너희 진주를 돼지 앞에 던지지 말라 그들이 그것을 발로 밟고 돌이켜 너희를 찢어 상하게 할까 염려하라

7 구하라 그리하면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그리하면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니

8 구하는 이마다 받을 것이요 찾는 이는 찾아낼 것이요 두드리는 이에게는 열릴 것이니라

9 너희 중에 누가 아들이 떡을 달라 하는데 돌을 주며

10 생선을 달라 하는데 뱀을 줄 사람이 있겠느냐

11 너희가 악한 자라도 좋은 것으로 자식에게 줄 줄 알거든 하물며 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께서 구하는 자에게 좋은 것으로 주시지 않겠느냐

12 그러므로 무엇이든지 남에게 대접을 받고자 하는 대로 너희도 남을 대접하라 이것이 율법이요 선지자니라

13 좁은 문으로 들어가라 멸망으로 인도하는 문은 크고 그 길이 넓어 그리로 들어가는 자가 많고

14 생명으로 인도하는 문은 좁고 길이 협착하여 찾는 자가 적음이라

Matthew 7:1-14 [NIV]

1 ‘Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

2 For in the same way as you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3 ‘Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?

4 How can you say to your brother, “Let me take the speck out of your eye,” when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?

5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

6 ‘Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.

7 ‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

9 ‘Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?

11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

12 So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

13 ‘Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Matthäus 7,1-14 [LUT]

1 Richtet nicht, damit ihr nicht gerichtet werdet.

2 Denn wie ihr richtet, werdet ihr gerichtet werden; und mit welchem Maß ihr messt, wird euch zugemessen werden.

3 Was siehst du aber den Splitter in deines Bruders Auge und nimmst nicht wahr den Balken in deinem Auge?

4 Oder wie kannst du sagen zu deinem Bruder: Halt, ich will dir den Splitter aus deinem Auge ziehen! – und siehe, ein Balken ist in deinem Auge?

5 Du Heuchler, zieh zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge; danach kannst du sehen und den Splitter aus deines Bruders Auge ziehen.

6 Ihr sollt das Heilige nicht den Hunden geben, und eure Perlen sollt ihr nicht vor die Säue werfen, damit die sie nicht zertreten mit ihren Füßen und sich umwenden und euch zerreißen.

7 Bittet, so wird euch gegeben; suchet, so werdet ihr finden; klopfet an, so wird euch aufgetan.

8 Denn wer da bittet, der empfängt; und wer da sucht, der findet; und wer da anklopft, dem wird aufgetan.

9 Oder ist ein Mensch unter euch, der seinem Sohn, wenn er ihn bittet um Brot, einen Stein biete?

10 Oder der ihm, wenn er ihn bittet um einen Fisch, eine Schlange biete?

11 Wenn nun ihr, die ihr doch böse seid, dennoch euren Kindern gute Gaben zu geben wisst, wie viel mehr wird euer Vater im Himmel Gutes geben denen, die ihn bitten!

12 Alles nun, was ihr wollt, dass euch die Leute tun sollen, das tut ihr ihnen auch! Das ist das Gesetz und die Propheten.

13 Geht hinein durch die enge Pforte. Denn die Pforte ist weit und der Weg ist breit, der zur Verdammnis führt, und viele sind’s, die auf ihm hineingehen.

14 Wie eng ist die Pforte und wie schmal der Weg, der zum Leben führt, und wenige sind’s, die ihn finden!
